Chief Justice of the Telangana High Court Justice Alok Aradhe was sworn in as the Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court. Maharashtra Governor C. P. Radhakrishnan administered the oath of office to Chief Justice Alok Aradhe at a brief swearing-in ceremony held at Darbar Hall in Raj Bhavan Mumbai on Tue (21 Jan).   

Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Speaker of Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Rahul Narwekar,  Minister of Skill Development Mangal Prabhat Lodha, judges of the Bombay High Court and senior government officers were present.

After counter signing the oath signed by the Chief Justice, the Governor presented a bouquet of flowers to the new Chief Justice. Both Deputy Chief Ministers and the Chief Secretary also congratulated the Chief Justice by presenting flowers.

Justice Alok Aradhe, B.Sc. LL.B., was born on April 13, 1964. He was enrolled as an Advocate on July 12, 1988. Practiced on Civil and Constitutional, Arbitration and Company matters in the High Court of Madhya Pradesh at Jabalpur. 

Designated as Senior Advocate in April, 2007.  Revised the 5th and 6th editions of Principles of Administrative Law by MP Jain and S N Jain and 15th edition of Principles of Statutory Interpretation by late Honourable Justice G P SIngh, Former Chief Justice of High Court of Madhya Pradesh. He was appointed as  Chief Justice, High Court for the State of Telangana on 19.07.2023 and took oath of office on 23.07.2023.
