Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Mumbai and Navi Mumbai on Wednesday, January 15.
In Navi Mumbai, PM Modi will be inaugurating the Sri Sri Radha Madanmohanji temple, an ISKCON development, at Kharghar. This is a part of his initiative to strengthen the cultural heritage of the country.
The inauguration ceremony is set to take place at 5 pm in Sector 23 and officials anticipate a significant turnout, including dignitaries, ministers from both the Central and State governments and a large gathering of political leaders and members of the public.
The nine-acre establishment encompasses a temple housing various deities, a Vedic education centre, planned museums and auditorium, and a healing centre, among other facilities.
In preparation for the inauguration, the Navi Mumbai traffic police has announced restrictions in Kharghar area to ensure smooth vehicular movement and manage the expected large crowd at the event.
According to the notification issued by the Navi Mumbai Traffic Department, to facilitate the movement of attendees and to reduce congestion, several traffic control measures will be enforced starting at 6 am on January 15, 2025.
On January 15, some roads in Kharghar will be closed to vehicles, and certain areas will be designated as "No Parking." Therefore, the traffic department has urged citizens to use alternative routes.

Vehicles coming from Prashant Corner towards Ove Gaon Police Station and intending to reach J Kumar Circle must turn left at Ove Gaon Chowk.
Those travelling from Ove Gaon Chowk to J Kumar Circle should turn right at Prashant Corner.
Vehicles from Shilp Chowk aiming for J Kumar Circle must reach Green Heritage Chowk and then turn accordingly.
Traffic coming from Gram Vikas Bhavan intending to turn left at Green Heritage Chowk should continue straight to BD Somani School.
Commuters from Central Park Metro Station heading to Ove Gaon Police Station should turn right and proceed accordingly.
Alternate Routes:
Vehicles travelling from Ove Gaon Chowk to Gurudwara will need to go straight to Gram Vikas Bhavan Chowk and turn left.
Traffic from Gram Vikas Bhavan to Gurudwara must turn right at Ove Gaon Chowk.
Vehicles coming from Vinayak Sheth Chowk to BD Somani School should turn right at BD Somani School Chowk.
Alternate Routes:
Vehicles from Bhagwati Green Building intending to reach Gram Vikas Bhavan via the ISKCON Temple must turn right at Delta Central and again at Bhagwati Green to proceed to Green Heritage Circle.
No Parking Zones:
- From Hiranandani Bridge Junction to Utsav Chowk, to Gramvikas Bhavan, to Gurudwara, to Ove Gaon Chowk, and to Ove Gaon Police Chowki.
- From Ove Gaon Police Chowki to Ove Cricket Ground (Helipad), Corporate Central Park, Sector-29, to the event venue, to Bhagwati Green Cut, and to ISKCON Temple Gate No. 1.
- The road from Gramvikas Bhavan to Green Heritage and to Central Park Metro Station.
- Both lanes from J. Kumar Circle to Green Heritage.
These restrictions will not apply to vehicles transporting essential goods, police, fire brigade, ambulances, government vehicles, and other emergency services.
Prior to this, the visit the naval dockyard in Mumbai on Wednesday, January 15, for the commissioning ceremony of three naval vessels — two warships INS Surat and INS Nilgiri, and the submarine INS Vaghsheer. The event will take place between 9.30 am and 12.30 pm.
According to a defence spokesperson, the commissioning represents a crucial advancement towards fulfilling the national ambition to emerge as a global force in defence production and maritime security.
