If reports are to be believed Khar is one of the stations that is now also getting a commercial and office space above it.
The development of Khar station can reduce the load at Bandra station as Western Railway (WR) has already been linked to Khar station to Bandra Terminus directly with 44-metre-long and 6-metre-wide foot over bridge directly connects Khar and Bandra. This was build at a cost of INR 4.55 crore
"The MRVC is redeveloping small stations and upgrading them for future use. As more and more passengers are expected to use them, the corridor will be expanded," said an MRVC spokesperson.
