A theme park on the lines of Disneyland will be built in Navi Mumbai on a 200-hectare site. This project has been proposed in the final plan of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) Growth Hub project.
As per the recommendations of the NITI Aayog, the MMR Growth Hub project has been taken up for the economic development of the country. The final plan of the MMR Growth Hub has been prepared by the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA), which will responsible for this project.
According to the plan, various infrastructure projects will be taken up in MMR as an international-class economic development center. Under that project, various sectors such as industry, tourism, education, infrastructure, housing, health, port development will be covered.
From developing Alibaug as a world-class tourism center to conserving the forts in Mumbai and suburbs, the tourism center will include a world-class theme park to attract tourists from India and abroad.
There are many resorts, theme parks, and water parks in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane, or MMR. However, for the first time, a theme park will be built on 200 hectares of land in Navi Mumbai through a government mechanism. This will include a resort, animation studio, rides zone, water park, and many other things.
