In a recent development, Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) on Friday night made another arrest from Ghatkopar in connection with the Nalasopara Explosives Case. Until now, five people have been arrested in this regard.
Avinash Pawar, 30, was arrested on Friday night by the ATS and he was sent to police custody, on Saturday, till August 31 by the court. According to ATS, Pawar along with the others arrested including Vaibhav Raut, Sharad Kalaskar, Sudhanva Gondalekar, and Shrikant Pangarkar was planning to carry out blasts in Maharashtra.

ATS has registered a case against Pawar and booked him under section 4, 5 of Explosive Element Act along with the section 9 (B) of Explosive Act, Section 120 (B) of Indian Penal Code, and Unlawful Activity Prevention Act (UAPA).
