After three days of the extensive search, Manpada police officials and fire brigade department were able to locate Harshad Jimkal’s body, who had fallen in a nullah in Dombivli on Tuesday. Jimkal’s dead body was found near Jyoti Nagar slum on Thursday morning.
On Tuesday, it was pouring heavily and a nullah in Nandivali was overflowing. It is believed that Harshad’s friend saw him drowning in the nullah. To save him, he jumped into the nullah and both of them went missing.
Jimkal’s friend, who is yet to be identified, is still missing.
It is believed that Jimkal was returning home from tuition and stopped near the nullah to pee. Suddenly, he lost his balance and slipped into the nullah.
