A few days ago, a shocking incident came to light when a 26-year-old doctor from Malad found a piece of a human finger in a cone of butterscotch ice cream ordered online. The police had registered a case against an unknown employee of the company in this case. After that, important information about this incident has come to light. Police investigation revealed that an employee of Yummo Ice Cream Company in Pune had injured his finger. The police suspect that his finger may have fallen in the ice cream.

The finger found in the ice cream has been sent to the forensic laboratory by the police. It will be investigated if the finger belongs to the same employee.

The case in Malad once again raised the serious issue of food safety. Dr. Brandon Ferravane, in whose ice cream the finger was found, ordered the ice cream online. His sister was eating an ice cream cone when she found a piece of meat in it. At first Dr. Brandon Ferravane's sister suspected that it might be a piece of dried fruit. But after Brandon himself examined the fragment, he realised that it was part of a human finger.

After Dr. Brandon filed a complaint, the police filed a complaint against the Yummo company. Dr. Brandon took photos and videos of the ice cream before it melted. The police registered a case against the Yummo employees under sections 272 (adulteration of food), 273 (sale of injurious food or drink) and 336 (act endangering human life) of the Indian Penal Code.

Yummo Ice Cream is manufactured at Fortune Dairy located in Indapur, Pune. Following this, the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) revoked Fortune Dairy's licence and banned the distribution of Yummo ice cream. FSSAI's Western Regional Office also inspected the premises of the company in Pune. After this the licence of the company was revoked.

The police have also started a criminal investigation in this case as a finger was found in the ice cream. As human organs have been found, the police believe that this may be part of a serious crime.
