On Wednesday, January 5, Mumbai Police Commissioner, Hemant Nagrale stated that three people have been arrested in the Bulli Bai App case. He, however, added that the arrest numbers may further rise in the foreseeable future, reports stated.
During his interaction with reports, Nagrale remarked that two of those arrested are from Uttrakhand. With this, the police are also investigating if there is a conspiracy in the case.
Nagrale was quoted by accounts elaborating on how the investigation of the case is underway and anyone involved in the crime, either directly or indirectly will be nabbed and prosecuted. He added that since the case is sensitive in nature, they are not in a position to share further details.
He was of the opinion that because the case is underway, divulging information could hamper the investigation. Nagrale was quoted by news agency ANI stating, “Three people have been arrested in the 'Bulli Bai' app case, including Vishal Kumar Jha and Shweta Singh. The third accused is Shweta's friend. Some more people could be involved in this matter”

Apart from this, Nagrale also voiced his discontent over the case versions put out by other authorities outside Maharashtra. He believes that some versions given by local authorities were not needed since they were not aware of the details of the case.
