Kasara Police has arrested Eknath Gaikwad, who killed his nine-year-old son by sticking a bundle of notebook papers in his mouth because he was abusing him. He had initially faked the child's murder. But, after the investigation, it was revealed that he had committed the murder. Due to the murder of this child, there is a feeling of outrage in the area.
Eknath Gaikwad resides at Vashala in the taluka. His brother and son Yuvraj lived with him. Eknath Gakwad had a habit of drinking alcohol. His wife has been separated for four months due to domestic disputes. Yuvraj used to abuse Eknath. This angered Eknath. When he called Yuvraj who went to play on Monday, Yuvraj abused him. Enraged by this, Eknath took Yuvraj to a field near the house. There they killed him by stuffing a bunch of notebook pages in his mouth.
First, Eknath faked that Yuvraj was kidnapped and killed by an unknown person. But the investigating police officers under the guidance of Deputy Superintendent of Police Milind Shinde thoroughly interrogated him. A dog team was also called to the spot. The investigation revealed that this was a fake murder. Eknath has confessed to the crime and has been arrested. In this regard, Superintendent of Police DS Swamy, Additional Superintendent of Police Deepali Dhate have visited the spot and further investigation is underway.
