Maharashtra Board Exams Preponed By 10 Days This Year - Details Here
SHARES

The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) has announced changes to the exam schedule for the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and Secondary School Certificate (SSC) exams. This year, the exams will start 10 days earlier than usual.

As per reports, the decision was taken to meet several objectives:

1. Earlier exams will benefit students preparing for competitive entrance exams such as NEET and JEE.

2. The early schedule will allow results to be declared sooner, making sure that admissions for Class 11 and higher education are done in time.

3. Faster results will also help students compete on equal terms with their peers from other boards.

4. It will also enable the board to conduct supplemental exams earlier so students who need a second attempt can complete their exams without delay.

The board consulted schools before making the decision. According to the board, schools were positive about the change. As a result, the new schedule has been implemented without difficulty.

This year, there are no new regulations for the exams. However, rules to prevent exam malpractice and paper leaks will be strictly enforced. The board has also provided flexibility for practical exams. Schools are allowed to schedule practicals on convenient dates, particularly for students with overlapping entrance exams.

There have been more than 15 lakh and 16 lakh registrations for the HSC exams and SSC exams, respectively. The board is still accepting registrations with a late fee. HSC students have already received their hall tickets, whereas SSC students will get theirs in a week.
