While the issue of irregularities in NEET is still not resolved, another big issue came up. After complaints of irregularities in the UGC-NET examination, the central government has taken a major action.
UGC-NET written exam conducted on June 18, 2024 has been cancelled. Also, the investigation of this case has been handed over to the CBI.

Like NEET, UGC-NET exam is also conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA). NTA conducted the UGC-NET exam on June 18, 2024 in various cities across the country. This exam was conducted in two shifts.
However, as soon as the exams were over, allegations of malpractice and rigging started. Taking a lesson from the controversy regarding NEET, the government decided to cancel it. Also, the investigation of this case was handed over to the CBI.
