Yogendra Yadav and Suhas Palashikar have objected to printing their names as authors on NCERT's political science book. They have sent a letter to NCERT in this regard. Having a name on textbooks was once a matter of pride for us. But now the same thing has become embarrassing, both of them have expressed their feelings in such words.
NCERT has made some changes in the political science books for class 11th and 12th this year. While this is being criticised by the opposition parties as well as the education sector, now two educationists who are named as the authors of the book have sent a letter to NCERT and expressed their stand. Politically biased, academically ineffective books using our names should not reach students.

The letter has also warned that legal action will be taken if textbooks with our names are distributed. Yadav and Palashikar were the main advisors of the political science textbook. After the change in the textbooks last year, both had criticised it in strong terms. Earlier there was a practice of omitting some text while revising the book. But now it has been alleged in this letter that NCERT has started making big additions and rewriting.
