In a rare sight, three dolphins were spotted swimming in the Vashi Creek on the outskirts of Mumbai. A video of them splashing and playing in the water, close to the shore, has surfaced online.
The video clip which was captured by an onlooker shows an adult dolphin and two baby dolphins leaping in the water one after the other.

However, the Netizens were left surprised by this view and expressed their urge to keep the environment clean. The video, which is being widely circulated across social media platforms, has garnered more than 15,000 views. The Twitter users were excited to see the dolphins swimming in the Vashi Creek as dolphins are not a common sight in the region.
Earlier, during the lockdown period in March, a humpback dolphin was spotted swimming off the shores of Marine Drive in Mumbai.
During Janata Curfew in March, actress Juhi Chawla had posted a video of dolphins being spotted just off the shore near Breach Candy on Twitter.

Last year, the Rajodi beach in Nalasopara attracted visitors after a pod of dolphins was been spotted close to the shore for a week.
Another viral video, apparently shot from the NCPA Apartments along the Arabia Seashore in south Mumbai, featuring a pod of dolphins along the coast.
As per another theory being floated, the state coastline has not seen any major fishing activity in last some days due to growing concerns towards COVID-19, and also the movement of large ships at ports like JNPT is limited, which may have led dolphins to make an appearance along Mumbai coast.
There are also some claims that this may be an old video but users on Twitter claim that this video is indeed recent. Many have expressed their delight and want dolphins to make Mumbai their permanent home.
