Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis inaugurated seven newly constructed flyovers built by Maharail at an event in Nagpur on Sunday, January 5. The inauguration took place at the Dr. Punjabrao Deshmukh Agricultural College Sports Ground.

The seven flyovers were built by Maharashtra Rail Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (MAHARAIL). The inaugurated flyovers are:

1. Nagpur: Flyover close to Godhani Railway Station at Railway Gate No. 293.

2. Amravati: Flyover next to Chandur Railway Station at Railway Gate No. 70. 

3. Wardha: Flyover close to Sindi Railway Station at Railway Gate No. 103. 

4. Chandrapur: Flyover in Babupeth, Chandrapur, at Railway Gate No. 43A/143A. 

5. Dhule: Flyover near railway gate No. 105 in Dondaicha City. 

6. Jalgaon: Flyover next to Jalgaon Railway Station at Railway Gate No. 149. 

7. Washim: Flypast close to Washim Railway Station at Railway Gate No. 115.

During the event, Fadnavis stated that Maharashtra is now leading India in infrastructure development. He highlighted the state’s ongoing projects, which include metro systems, state roadways, national highways, airport renovations, and port development. He credited these achievements to the efforts of the Maharashtra government and the support of the central government. 

In the following days, the state-owned corporation will finish the construction of 200 flyovers and underpasses. The chief minister of Maharashtra went on to say that the state now has the most infrastructure projects in progress nationwide. 

The CM praised Union Minister Nitin Gadkari for his leadership in key infrastructure projects. He mentioned that Maharail has raised the standard for infrastructure in both quality and scale. 

Fadnavis revealed plans to complete 200 additional underground routes and railway flyovers in the coming years through the Maharail project. He claimed that these efforts would further improve Maharashtra’s position as a leader in infrastructure development. 

The event was attended by several dignitaries, including MLA Krishna Khopde, Legislative Council member Kripal Tumane, and Minister of Finance and Planning Ashish Jaiswal. Leaders such as MLA Pratap Adsad and Minister of Marketing and Protocol Jaykumar Rawal participated through videoconferencing.
