Members of Shiv Sena and BJP, on Wednesday, June 16, 2021, got into a clash opposite the Shiv Sena Bhavan in Mumbai's Dadar area. As per reports, members from the BJP had staged a protest over the Ayodhya Ram Mandir land scam, which was led by BJP's Yuva Morcha President Tejinder Singh Tiwana. Strict police security was maintained during the event.

However, the situation got intense and out of control soon after the members from both parties gathered at the location. Present among them was Shiv Sena leader Sada Sarvankar and other leaders, and observing the rivalry and tension, the Police had appealed to all the members to remain calm. This worsened as both the parties started shouting slogans which eventually led to more confusion.

BJP workers have been accused of beating the Shiv Sena workers, who on the other hand, have accused BJP workers of making a fuss and swearing. As of now, over 40 members from BJP have been detained by the officials.

Sharing her thought, the leader of Shiv Sena's women's front, Shraddha Jadhav, said the members from Sena were quietly observing from the nearby petrol pump near the Sena Bhavan, as they received the news about BJP workers planning to attack the Sena Bhavan.

Shiv Sena MP Rahul Shewale further added that the BJP workers were agitated for no reason and had also tried to enter the Shiv Sena Bhavan, and in such cases, the members are always ready to answer in their own style.

Offering clarification, BJP leader Pravind Darekar said that the BJP workers were protesting peacefully against the Ayodhya Ram Mandir land matter, but it was Shiv Sainiks who attacked the party activists first.
