After its remarkable success in the Maharashtra assembly elections, the Ajit Pawar-led NCP is now gearing up to contest the Delhi assembly elections.


MP Praful Patel said that the party aims to regain the status of a national party by contesting the Delhi elections. Patel emphasised that the NCP has established presence in various states including Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir.


NCP surveyor and former Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Ajit Pawar interacted with the media on Thursday. He said our party was a national party. Now it takes more effort to regain that status.

Ajit Pawar is currently in Delhi. He met the national leadership in Delhi regarding government formation in Maharashtra. Former Chief Minister of the state and Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde and BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis were also present. Pawar said that the party's national conference will be held after December and the responsibility will be handed over to people within the party.


Ajit Pawar indicated that responsibility will be increased on youth and women in the organisation. Whoever shows the ability to deliver results will be given an opportunity. He said that the role of women in Mahayuti's resounding victory was the main reason for it.
