After Shiv Sena candidate Aditya Thackeray successfully filed his nomination from Worli assembly constituency, the party on Thursday morning carried out a roadshow to showcase its strength while promoting the Yuva Sena chief for the assembly elections in Maharashtra which are scheduled on October 21.

In the rally, along with Shiv Sena, other party leaders from Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Republican Party of India (A) also participated. Moreover, the local people also indulged in the rally to support Aditya Thackeray.

Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray thanked the public for supporting Aditya Thackeray during his nomination.

I thank all those who have blessed Aditya, the new generation has come with new thinking and I thank the public for their support. I pledge that whenever the people need him, Aditya will be present,” said Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray.

During his roadshow before filing the nomination from Worli, Aditya Thackeray addressed those who came out in his support saying that they are his biggest strength and he will fulfil the responsibility he has towards people. 

Yuva Sena chief Aditya Thackeray will be the first from his family to contest elections. Earlier, no one from the Thackeray family including Shiv Sena founder Bal Thackeray has participated in the election process.

Along with this, the political speculations suggest that Aditya Thackeray can be the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra if the BJP and Shiv Sena alliance comes to power in the state. 

Meanwhile, during Aditya Thackeray's rally, several people reported incidents of theft - from their mobile phones to gold chains and rings.
