Opposition parties have had to accept a big defeat in the recently held Maharashtra Assembly elections. BJP, Shiv Sena (Shinde) and Nationalist Congress Party (Ajit Pawar) have got more than majority seats in the state. The ruling Mahayuti has got as many as 235 seats. Meanwhile, the opposition Mahavikas Aghadi has to settle for only 49 seats. Uddhav Thackeray's Shiv Sena has got 20 seats, Congress 16 and NCP (Sharad Pawar) 10 seats in Mavia. Meanwhile, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena, which contested 128 seats, could not win a single seat in the state. In both the previous assembly elections, one MLA of this party was elected. This time their sitting MLA has also been defeated.
In the 2019 assembly elections, the united Shiv Sena led by Uddhav Thackeray had won 56 seats. After the split, only 13 MLAs remained with Uddhav Thackeray. Meanwhile, both Thackerays have suffered a big loss in this election.
Uddhav Thackeray's Shiv Sena, which held the post of Chief Minister two and a half years ago, has 20 MLAs. Raj Thackeray has no representation in the Legislative Assembly. Due to this, both Thackeray's parties will have to rebuild. The need for Raj and Uddhav Thackeray to come together for this development is being expressed. The issues of Marathi people, Marathi identity is the basic agenda of both these parties. Well-wishers of both the parties and leaders are of the opinion that they have to come together for the sake of the Marathi people. So now after the defeat in the assembly, everyone is wondering whether these two brothers and their parties will unite. Meanwhile, Shiv Sena (Thackeray) Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut has reacted to this.
What did Sanjay Raut say?
While interacting with the media, Sanjay Raut was aas asked if both brothers Raj Thackeray and Uddhav Thackeray will unite to avoid division of Marathi votes. Both of them should come together. This is the wish of his workers and well-wishers. On this, Sanjay Raut said, this is not a question limited to Raj Thackeray or Uddhav Thackeray. Everyone who loves Maharashtra must come together. Even if it is Prakash Ambedkar, they should also unite. Ambedkar is not Marathi? Do they not have to pay anything to Maharashtra? Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar contributed to the fight for United Maharashtra. He also felt that the Marathi people of Maharashtra should remain one. Ambedkar had warned that if the Marathi people do not stay together, Maharashtra and Mumbai will become part of the Hamals and Patiwalas and that is exactly what is happening today.
Sanjay Raut said, every political party and leader of that party who loves Maharashtra, small and big workers, should contribute to Maharashtra and Mumbai. Whether that leader is in BJP, Shinde group or Ajit Pawar's NCP, they too must contribute to Maharashtra. Seeing this state of Maharashtra, all those who are worried will come together.
