The term of the 288-seat Maharashtra assembly ends on November 26.
There are total 36 districts in Maharashtra, with a total of 288 seats. Out of this, 234 are General seats, 25 are Schedule Tribe seats, and 29 are Schedule Caste seats.
Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Rajiv Kumar stated that there are 9.63 crore voters in Maharashtra, including 4.97 crore men, 4.66 crore women, and 20.93 Lakh first-time voters.
