After Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar filed his nomination for the Rajya Sabha elections, it was revealed that his assets have grown by ₹60 lakh in last six years. As per the affidavit filed by the NCP supremo, his assets are ₹32.73 crores.
Pawar filed his nomination on Wednesday for Rajya Sabha poll which is scheduled to be held on March 26. NCP is contesting the Rajya Sabha poll on two seats and has only nominated Sharad Pawar.
In his affidavit, Pawar has also mentioned liabilities of ₹1 crore for advance deposits received against the transfer of shares from his nephew Ajit Pawar’s wife Sunetra Pawar and grandnephew Parth Pawar.
Moreover, the NCP chief declared his movable assets of ₹25,21,33,329 (₹25.21 lakh) and immovable assets worth ₹7,52,33,941 (₹7.52 lakh) which amounts to ₹32.73 crores. The figures have been listed as per the affidavit filed by Former Union Minister Sharad Pawar.
Pawar, in his affidavit, also mentioned that his wife Pratibha Pawar has received an advance deposit worth ₹50 lakh against the transfer of shares from Sunetra Pawar. Sunetra Pawar is the wife of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar.
The NCP supremo has also received an advance deposit of ₹50 lakh against the transfer of shares from his grandnephew Parth Pawar.
Pawar is currently the MP in Rajya Sabha and has been nominated again from Maharashtra. During the 2014 Rajya Sabha elections, Pawar’s affidavit mentioned his assets to be of ₹20,47,99,970.41 (₹20.47 lakh) and immovable assets of ₹11,65,16,290 (₹11.65 lakh) which amounted to ₹32.13 crores.

At that time in his affidavit, Pawar mentioned that he did not have any liabilities. However, this time, Pawar has total liabilities of ₹1 crore.
