Maharashtra Navnirman Sena President Raj Thackeray's speech at Shivaji Park at MNS's Padwa meeting has become a topic of discussion in political circles. What did Raj Thackeray say?
Before leaving the Shiv Sena, Raj Thackeray spoke about the discussion he had with Uddhav Thackeray regarding the post of party chief. “I knew I was being pushed aside. I once went to Uddhav and told him that we are going out. We went to Oberoi Hotel. I sat in front of him. I asked him, "What do you want? You want to be party leader, yes. You want to be the Chief Minister if Shiv Sena comes to power, yes. But just tell me what's my job? Don't kick me out just for publicity. After I campaign, the elected people do not want to take responsibility. Next time I go to campaign. What face should I show them? Uddhav told me that I have no problem", said Raj Thackeray.
“From there we came home. Balasaheb Thackeray was sleeping. I woke him up and told him that I have solved the whole problem. He said, “What happened? I said I spoke to Uddhav. Everything is settled. He hugged me. He told me to call Uddhav. But he didn't come. Balasaheb was becoming impatient. After a while he asked about Uddhav. When I went out to look for Uddhav, I was told that he left. All these things were going on until I left the party", claimed Raj Thackeray in his speech.
Uddhav Thackeray's reply
Meanwhile, when Uddhav Thackeray came to the Vidhan Bhavan today, the media asked him about Raj Thackeray's allegations. Then Uddhav Thackeray attacked Raj Thackeray's allegation. “In the last 18 years, the same record has been going on. Last year on May 14, I expressed my opinion in a meeting held at Bandra-Kurla Complex. Then I gave a reference to a film. You can see the proof of the same movie", said Uddhav Thackeray. However, this time he did not mention that film.
Action on Mahim's offshore construction
On this occasion, Raj Thackeray had taken up the issue of Mazar constructed in Mahim's sea in his speech. The BMC took action on it this morning. Speaking of it, Uddhav Thackeray said, "That construction was nothing new. Even before him, there were MLAs of other parties, MLAs and councillors of his party too. It was under construction before he mentioned it.”
“He reads the script as it comes. Otherwise, no action was taken for so many years and if action has been taken so promptly, then inform him of many such things that are happening in the state. He will write a letter and action will be taken", Uddhav Thackeray took a dig at Raj.
