Mumbai Local News: List Of Suburban Trains Affected Between January 24-26

Western Railway (WR) will undertake major blocks o­n the intervening nights of January 24-25 (Friday/Saturday) in connection with re-girdering of Bridge No. 20 Mahim Creek between Mahim and Bandra on UP & Down Slow lines.

On January 24-25, 2025, the block will be from 23:00 hrs to 08:30 hrs o­n UP & Down Slow lines and from 00:30 to 06:30 hrs o­n Down Fast lines.

Meanwhile, on January 25-26, 2025, the block will be from 23:00 hrs to 07:30 hrs on UP Fast lines.

According to a press release issued by Chief Public Relations Officer of WR, Vineet Abhishek, during the execution of work some suburban services will be affected. Details of the same are as below:

Repercussions on January 24-25:

• Some of UP Slow service will run on UP Fast lines between Santacruz and Mumbai Central, hence these trains will not halt at Khar Road, Mahim, Matunga Road, Prabhadevi, Lower Parel and Mahalakhsmi stations for want of platform & inadequate platform length.
• All Down Slow services departing Churchgate after 22.23 hrs to 23.58 hrs will run o­n Fast Line between Mumbai Central & Santacruz and hence will not halt at Mahalaxmi, Lower Parel, Prabhadevi, Matunga Road, Mahim and Khar Road stations for want of platform & inadequate platform length.
• Last Down Slow service will depart Churchgate at 22:23 hrs for Bhayandar.
• Last Down Fast service will depart Churchgate at 23:40 hrs for Virar.
• Last Down service departing Churchgate at 23:58 hrs o­n Friday will run o­n Fast Line between Mumbai Central & Santacruz and hence will not halt at Mahalaxmi, Lower Parel, Prabhadevi, Matunga Road, Mahim and Khar Road stations.
• Last UP Slow service will depart Borivali at 22.15 hrs for Churchgate.
• After the train departing Borivali at 22:15 hrs, all trains will run o­n UP Fast Line between Santacruz and Mumbai Central, hence these trains will not halt at Khar Road, Mahim, Matunga Road, Prabhadevi, Lower Parel and Mahalakhsmi stations.
• Last UP service from Virar to Churchgate will depart Virar at 00:05 hrs.
• During the execution of work, services between Churchgate and Dadar will be operated on Fast lines.
• First train service for Churchgate after block will depart from Virar at 05:47 hrs
• First Slow train service for Churchgate after block will depart from Bhayandar at 06.10 hrs will run on UP Fast line between Santacruz and Mumbai Central hence these trains will not halt at Khar Road, Mahim, Matunga Road, Prabhadevi, Lower Parel and Mahalakhsmi.
• First UP Slow service for Churchgate after block will depart Borivali at 08:03 hrs.

Repercussions on January 25-26:

• During the block period, all UP Slow & Fast services originating from Dahanu Road, Virar/Nallasopara, Vasai Road, Bhayandar and Borivali will run up to Andheri o­nly.
• Services will be available between Goregaon and Bandra/Mahim o­n Harbour lines.
• During the execution of work, services between Churchgate and Dadar will be operated on Fast lines.

Before Block on:

• The last local on the Slow line will be from Churchgate at 22:23 hrs up to Virar and the last o­n the Fast line will be from Churchgate at 22:33 hrs up to Virar. These trains have been extended up to Virar.
• An extra Fast local will be operated between Churchgate & Dadar which will depart from Churchgate at 01:00 hrs.
• The last Harbour will arrive Mahim at 00:11 hrs for Goregaon.
• The last Slow local will be Andheri - Virar ex Andheri at 01:45 hrs.
• The last Fast local will be Virar - Churchgate ex Virar at 22:07 hrs.
• The last Slow local will be Borivali - Churchgate ex Borivali at 22:22 hrs.
• The last Slow local will be Virar - Andheri ex Virar at 00:20 hrs.

After Block:

• The first Slow local will be Virar - Churchgate ex Virar at 07:35 hrs.
• The first Slow local will be Borivali - Churchgate ex Borivali at 08:16 hrs.
• The first Fast local will be Churchgate – Virar ex Churchgate at 08:35 hrs.
• The first Slow local will be Churchgate – Borivali ex Churchgate at 08:35 hrs.

Key Points To Be Noted:

• During the block between Churchgate and Dadar o­n Fast line services will be available.
• During the block between Goregaon and Bandra o­n Harbour corridor services will be available.
• During the block between Virar and Andheri o­n Slow & Fast line services will be available.
