The Aarey - BKC section of the 'Colaba - Bandra - Seepz Underground Metro 3' route has been experiencing some technical problems since it entered the service. Due to these technical difficulties, the transport services are often disrupted and the passengers are affected. This series of technical problems continues and B1 entrance of Bandra Government Colony metro station remained closed all day on Monday. Due to technical difficulties, the automatic gate did not open. This caused great inconvenience to the passengers. Another entrance had to be used.


The Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRC) is constructing the 33.5 km long Colaba- Bandra - Seepz Underground Metro' line. The 12.5 km stretch of Aarey – BKC route was inaugurated and put into traffic service on October 7. This route has not received much response from the passengers yet. Transport services on this route are often disrupted due to technical problems. Not even two days after this route was put into service, the metro train suddenly stopped. This train was stopped at one place for 30 minutes. It affected the transport service. After this incident, a major leak occurred in a metro station in this phase on October 11. On the night of November 10, the metro train suddenly stopped in the subway between two metro stations. This created fear among the passengers.

The series of technical problems on the Aarey to BKC route continues. On Monday (November 24) morning, one of the four B1 gates at the Bandra Government Metro Station did not open. Due to technical difficulties, the automatic gates did not open, so passengers had to rely on the rest of the gates. This caused inconvenience to the passengers. Importantly, this entrance is closed throughout the day. MMRC took up the repair work of this entrance on Monday. This work took a long time to complete. MMRC informed that the B1 entrance was opened on Tuesday morning. MMRC has apologised for the inconvenience caused to passengers.
