Mumbaikars have turned their backs on the Aarey - BKC section of the 'Colaba - Bandra - Seepz Metro 3' route, which has been put into service. After putting this route to service, this route was not getting any response from passengers. Now the number of daily passengers on this route has also reduced significantly. In the second month, the total number of passengers directly decreased by 68,896, while the number of daily passengers decreased by 2903 in the second month.

A total of 13,480 trips were made in two months since this route started. A total of 11 lakh 97 thousand 522 passengers traveled by subway. This number is very less and 6 lakh 33 thousand 209 passengers traveled on this route in the first month after its inception. In the second month, this number is only 5 lakh 64 thousand 313.

The Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRC) is constructing a 33.5 km underground metro line. The first half 12.5 km long Aarey – BKC section of the route was put into service on October 7. It is the first subway metro line in Mumbai. Everyone, including the MMRC, expected that this route would get a huge response as it would provide a new option for high-speed travel in areas where the railways do not reach. In reality, however, this route is getting very little response.
