Ride-sharing company Uber is planning to launch a new service in India, ‘Express India’ which the cab aggregator claims to be 50 per cent cheaper than Uber Pool service. However, the passengers will not be able to call the cab at their doorsteps. Instead, they will have to come to a common checkpoint where the driver will be ready to pick them up.
Similarly, the passenger will be dropped off to a common point along with their co-passengers. No matter how tiresome this service may seem, this service will be 50 per cent cheaper than Uber Pool and 75 per cent cheaper than Uber X.

The move came to lure Indian audience and will be operating in more than 31 cities. The company also plans to introduce Uber Lite which is similar to the Uber but consumes less space on phone and offers service even in the bad network.
Along with cabs, the company has also introduced Uber rickshaws for short distance travels. The Express Pool service was initially launched in some cities of USA and will now be tested in India. Earlier, the cab company had introduced its plans to slash down the prices of its cab services.
