413 new COVID19 patients were identified in Kalyan-Dombivli

Coronavirus tally in the KDMC areas has reached 39,172, out of which 5,148 patients are undergoing treatment currently and 33,251 patients have been discharged.

COVID19 cases in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) have been increasing rapidly. The State Health Department released the updated for September 21, 2020, which showed that a total of 413 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Kalyan Dombivali Municipal Corporation (KDMC) area on Monday, and five deaths were reported. Moreover, officials were able to treat 2588 patients and have discharged them on Monday.

  • Kalyan East - 79
  • Kalyan West - 114
  • Dombivli East - 121
  • Dombivli West - 76
  • Manda Titwala - 16
  • Mohana - 6
  • Piswali - 2

Coronavirus tally in the municipal area has reached 39,172, out of which 5,148 patients are undergoing treatment currently and 33,251 patients have been discharged. Besides this, a total of 773 people have passed away due to coronavirus infection.

Of all the discharged patients, 109 were from Tata hospital, 10 from VHBP - Savlaram Maharaj Sports Complex, 7 patients from R. R. Hospital, 5 patients from Patidar COVID Care Center, 7 from Dombivali Gymkhana COVID Center, and 8 from Shastrinnagar Hospital.

Observing a rapid increase in coronavirus cases in Mumbai and MMR regions, the state government and respective municipal corporations have requested the citizens to not leave homes unless necessary. A few days back, the government imposed Sec 144 in Mumbai and police departments have been asked to keep a close check on the movements across the cities. 

As of Monday, September 21, Maharashtra had a total of 12,24,380 cases with 33,015 deaths. Furthermore, 32,007 patients were discharged from the hospitals in a day, taking the tally to 9,16,348 recovered patients. They have been discharged after proper treatments. The recovery rate in the state currently stands at 74.84 per cent. Maharashtra had 15,738 new cases today, and 344 COVID-19 deaths were reported, taking the case fatality rate in the state to  2.7 per cent.

Out of 59,12,258 laboratory samples tested in the state, 20.71 per cent have been tested positive until today. Currently, more than 18-lakh people are under home quarantine and more than 35, people are under institutional quarantine as per guidelines issued by the government
