The Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray) announced its candidate in the first list of the sitting MLA of Bandra East Assembly Constituency Zeeshan Siddique while he was still in the Congress. Zeeshan Siddique's father Baba Siddique had joined the Ajit Pawar faction a few months ago. Since then, Zeeshan was also said to be on his father's path. Zeeshan Siddique was a frequent critic of the Congress. He also targeted MP Varsha Gaikwad for development works. Now he will compete with Aaditya Thackeray's step brother Varun Sardesai from Bandra East from the NCP party.
Meanwhile, when Shiv Sena nominated Varun Sardesai from Bandra East Constituency, Zeeshan Siddique posted on X and criticised it. Zeeshan Siddique's father and former state minister Baba Siddique was murdered on October 12. Zeeshan Siddique is engaged in election work, but he expressed his anger at X as MVA cut his ticket.

MVA played the game during tough times
After Zeeshan Siddique joined the NCP (Ajit Pawar) party, Zeeshan Siddique accused the Mahavikas Aghadi while talking to the media. He said Mahavikas Aghadi played games with him during his difficult times. The people of Bandra East will answer this through elections.
Shiv Sena's grip on Bandra East Assembly Constituency
Bandra East Constituency falls in North-Central Mumbai Lok Sabha Constituency. This new constituency came into existence after the constituency reorganisation in 2009. Shiv Sena had a grip on this constituency from the beginning. This constituency, home to Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray, was lost to the Shiv Sena in the 2019 elections and went to the Congress.
Shiv Sena's Prakash alias Bala Sawant had a grip on this constituency (Bandra East Assembly constituency). He was a corporator from 1997 to 2009 from a ward in Bandra East. In 2009, Shiv Sena gave him a ticket to the Legislative Assembly from here and Sawant won the election. In 2014, he once again went to the Legislative Assembly as an MLA from Shiv Sena ticket. But he died after a few months. By-elections were held in this constituency after Bala Sawant's death. Shiv Sena nominated Bala Sawant's wife Tripti Sawant from this constituency. Congress fielded Narayan Rane from this constituency in the assembly area, however, Sawant defeated Narayan Rane by almost 19k votes.
